During this visit you will have a one-on-one consult with a practitioner about your case. This is to ensure that you are a good candidate for treatment with us, and that our practice and philosophy is the right fit for you.

At the conclusion of your free consultation, you will have the opportunity to schedule your full intake appointment. At your intake, we will go over your case and medical history in detail, develop a comprehensive treatment plan, and administer your first acupuncture treatment.

Jasmine is a second generation acupuncturist & clinical herbalist. She has formally studied Chinese Medicine since 2011 when she began apprenticing with senior practitioner and scholar Lonny Jarrett and founded Upright Qi NYC ins 2018. Her approach is rooted in a lifelong interest in transformative experiences and human capacity. She frequently works with patients who are not progressing in their health, nding answers to their conditions, or responding well to their medications. She’s particularly adept at working with:

• Illness marked by personal upheaval (stress, grief, anxiety, anger, PTSD, spiritual crisis, etc)

• Digestive distress

• Special concerns of the LGBTQ community

• Menstrual imbalance

In addition to practicing Chinese Medicine, Jasmine also works one-on-one with clients in a coaching capacity, is faculty and facilitator at Pacic Integral, and teaches both online and at her alma mater.

Jasmine holds a Master’s in Acupuncture, a Bachelor’s of Health Science, and a Diploma in Chinese Herbal Studies from the Academy for Five Element Acupuncture. She received her B.A. from Hampshire College where she studied Community Development for Social Change. She holds a Master’s in Acupuncture, a Bachelor’s of Health Science, and a Diploma in Chinese Herbal Studies from the Academy for Five Element Acupuncture. She received her B.A. from Hampshire College where she studied Community Development for Social Change.

Prior to acupuncture, Jasmine launched and contributed to a number of diverse projects and businesses both domestically and abroad - working as a butcher, a orist, an entrepreneur, a startup consultant, a farmer, a copywriter, a youth educator, and a sh monger (to name a few) before nally returning to Chinese Medicine and the city where I was born.

Dr. Mona studied acupuncture, herbal medicine and manual techniques at Pacific College of Oriental Medicine, where she completed a Doctorate in Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine (DACM). She received training in acupuncture and manual techniques for labor and delivery at her alma mater and at NYU Lutheran Medical Center, where she treated laboring women and individuals recovering from stroke. She studies ortho-bionomy, a gentle postural realignment technique, with the Society of Ortho-bionomy. In addition to her clinical training in perinatal health, Mona has also received clinical training in pediatric care, weight management and HIV/AIDS. Mona entered healthcare after a long career as a community organizer and popular educator. She believes that quality, affordable healthcare can empower communities.

Dr. Joann Chan is a Doctor of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine (DACM), Licensed Acupuncturist and Herbalist from the Pacific College of Health and Science in NYC. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from New York University where she has maintained a successful career in finance working in credit risk, auditing, credit research, real estate sales and property management.

Joann has been passionate about natural health transformation since in her adolescence where her parents’ health became challenged. The search for a more wholistic approach led her into the field of Chinese medicine and herbs. During her training, she has completed internships at NYU Langone’s initiative for Women with Disabilities working on women’s multi-disciplinary health-related issues.

Joann has worked with patients with stroke history, auto-immune disorders, gynecological issues, fibromyalgia, digestive issues, anxiety, physical and emotional trauma, cancer care and variety of pain management complaints. She is passionate about helping patients heal and guiding them on self-care as a whole mind, body and spirit with the ancient art of Chinese Medicine.
